Tomato Fish Curry with Harischandra Spices

- Fish (Parawa or Thalapath) 750g
- 8 Tomatoes
- 15 Red onions
- 5 Green chilies
- Curry leaves
- Pandan (Rampe)
- Mustard one tea spoon
- Cumin seed ¼ tea spoon
- 5 Garlic cloves
- 3 teaspoons of Harischandra Chilie powder
- 3 cups of Thick coconut milk
- Salt and lime
- Fenugreek
- Sugar
- Coconut oil
- Lemongrass (Sera)
- Water
Method
Step 1: Wash the Fish. Cut into medium size pieces along with the tomatoes.
Step 2: Put a pan on the cooker and add oil.
Step 3: When it is heated enough add mustard and fenugreek. After 2 minutes add garlic, rampe and sera and add the tomato pieces.
Step 4: Then cook in medium heat for 4 minutes, add ¼ cup of water. Add red onions, sugar and coconut milk one after the other.
Step 5: Cook in medium heat and add fish, salt and lime and close the lid. Cook for another 25 to 30 minutes.
Step 6: Remove from the cooker and keep it for few minutes before serving.
