Devilled Chicken Curry with Harischandra Curry Paste

What You Need

  • 1 Kg of Chicken
  • 300g pf Potatoes
  • 3 teaspoons of Vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of Mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon of Fenugreek
  • 2 teaspoons of Salt
  • ½ cup of Coriander leaves
  • 3 (cut into 2) Green chilies
  • Lime Juice
  • ¼ cup of Vegetable oil
  • Harischandra Curry Paste

Method

Step 1: Wash the Chicken and cut in to medium size pieces along with the potatoes.

Step 2: Heat a clay pot for a few minutes and add vegetable oil. Add mustard and fenugreek. After 2 minutes add the green chilies, ginger and the curry paste.

Step 3: Then add chicken and potatoes and 3 cups of water to it. Cook for 7 minutes in high heat, then 15 minutes in medium heat.

Step 4: Add vinegar, salt to taste, little bit of coriander leaves then cook for 20 to 25 minutes in low heat.

Step 5: Add lime juice and rest of coriander leaves just before removing from the cooker.

Step 6: Enjoy with white rice or Harischandra String Hoppers.
